Work has been begun on a new peaceful cycle route in Nottingham as part of their ‘Cycle City Ambition programme’. The cycle route once completed will provide a quiet journey from Canning Circus to Castle Boulevard, and aims to give cyclists the opportunity to take in some of Nottingham’s iconic architecture and tourist sites.
The council have dubbed it the ‘quiet route’ as it will be wholly traffic free and hope that this will help to encourage people to cycle around the city as well as keep cyclists safe. The route is due for completion this November and will link with Nottingham’s other ‘Cycle City Ambition’ corridors. What better way to see Nottingham’s sights up close?
